Connected Hardware.
Smart Software.

Cyber5 is a VAT-registered UK product studio, founded in 2018, with four decades of engineering practice behind it. We design and build connected hardware on one side, and the apps, APIs, and dashboards that make sense of it on the other. We work for ourselves when we have the right idea, and for clients when they do — and we treat both the same: real engineering, real timelines, real units in real boxes. Hardware shipping at retail (OnePuttPro), open-source dev tooling (Tainer), and a workshop that prototypes both PCBs and enclosures in-house, same-day.

One company. The whole stack.

Most product work fragments across agencies: one shop for industrial design, another for PCBs, a third for firmware, a fourth for the app, a fifth for the marketing site. Things break in the handoffs — schedules slip, specs drift, ownership thins out.

We're built differently. The same people who design the enclosure write the firmware that lives in it, build the app that talks to it, run the API behind that, and ship the brand around the whole thing. Fewer handoffs, faster iteration. Built as one.

01

Sketch

Industrial design, electrical schematics, app wireframes, and a brand direction — produced in parallel, sanity-checked against each other before anyone soldiers in.

02

Prototype

3D-printed enclosures, 3D-printed PCBs, firmware on bench, app on TestFlight. We iterate on hardware and software in the same day, not the same quarter.

03

Ship

Injection-moulded production, certified firmware, App Store and Play Store, e-commerce, fulfilment, support. The boring parts are where most projects die — they don't die here.

The shortlist.

Hardware

  • Same-day in-house prototyping — 3D-printed enclosures (filament + resin) and PCBs (masking, placement, soldering, automated)
  • Custom PCB design
  • Enclosure design
  • Injection-mould tooling supplier management
  • Sensor selection & integration
  • Certification (CE, FCC, RoHS) managed end-to-end

Firmware

  • Firmware in C/C++ — bare-metal and RTOS, ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V
  • BLE, Wi-Fi, USB, LoRa, Thread, Matter — the full IoT stack
  • Sensor data — fusion, filtering, real-time signal processing
  • Power management, dormant modes
  • OTA update pipelines

Software

  • iOS (Swift, SwiftUI), Android (Kotlin), React Native
  • Web apps (SvelteKit, Next.js, React)
  • APIs (Node, Laravel)
  • Dashboards, admin panels
  • Container orchestration, deploy pipelines

Brand

  • Identity systems, logo, palette, type
  • Design tokens, component libraries
  • Marketing sites (static + headless CMS)
  • Marketing automation, lead generation
  • E-commerce setup
